year, there have been (6) Commercial Marketing & Networking Sessions! During these venues, attendees are treated to a
networking breakfast, and then listen to exciting and informative industry topics from guest speakers. Commercial properties
are presented by listing brokers and everyone has an opportunity to discuss their client needs.
On
May 20, 2014, the BHGLAAR Commercial Committee produced a half-day commercial training program titled “Transacting in
Commercial Real Estate: The 2014 Seminar for Professionals.” Hot legal issues and 2014 laws affecting multifamily and
other commercial assets was an important topic in the event lectures. Attendees were immersed in a learning session that also
included commercial financing, commercial leasing, investment financial analysis, professional building inspection and commercial
multiple listing services.
Once again, the Commercial Expert Panel was assembled
for another fast-paced, lively program. This year’s panelists fielded tough questions and superbly met the challenge!
The first part of the exciting September 9th event was moderated, and
the second part was un-plugged, with participation by the attendees. Renowned economist and Professor, Dr. Rafael Bostic,
regaled the group with humor, thought-provoking questions and in-depth commentary.
